How to Set Up IPTV on Amazon Fire Stick (Step by Step)

The Amazon Fire Stick is the most popular way to watch IPTV, and for good reason: it is inexpensive, plugs into any TV's HDMI port and runs the player apps IPTV uses. If you can install an app, you can set this up. Here is the whole process.

Before you start

Have these three things ready:

• A Fire Stick plugged in and connected to your Wi-Fi
• Your LemoTV login details (username, password and server URL) — sent by email after signup
• About five minutes

Step 1: Allow app installation

From the Fire Stick home screen, go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and turn on "Apps from Unknown Sources." This lets you install the player app. (On some remotes the menu is under Settings → Device.)

Step 2: Install a player app

Search the Amazon Appstore for a compatible IPTV player such as IPTV Smarters Pro and install it. It is free. This app is the player — it does not come with any channels itself; it simply reads the account details you give it.

Step 3: Enter your LemoTV details

Open the player, choose to log in with an Xtream Codes API or a playlist, and enter the username, password and server URL from your welcome email. Give it a moment to load and your full channel lineup and on-demand library will appear, organised by category.

Step 4: Start watching

That's it. Browse to any category, pick a channel and it plays. The electronic programme guide shows what's on now and next, and your on-demand movies and series sit in their own sections.

If a stream stutters

Buffering is almost always the connection, not the service. Quick fixes:

• Move the Fire Stick closer to the router, or use the HDMI extender so it isn't buried behind the TV
• Restart the Fire Stick (Settings → My Fire TV → Restart)
• On slower Wi-Fi, pick the HD version of a channel rather than 4K
• Close other heavy downloads on the network while you watch
